Got Peace?

Be honest. Over the past years, months or weeks, did you “give way to anxiety or unease?” What about allowing your “mind to dwell on difficulty or troubles?” Have you struggled with “a state of anxiety and uncertainty over actual or potential problems?”

Don’t beat yourself up—most of us feel we need to be worried if we really care—especially us moms. It begins from that positive pregnancy test and sadly does not pass—as we hoped it would—when our kids finally reach adulthood.

Just google “motherhood and worry” and see a lengthy AI summary and a plethora of articles addressing this subject. (It’s been said that we moms are only as happy as our least happy child.) Their state of mind, physical safety and sorrows they encounter contribute to our anxiety.

We may even have Philippians 4:6-7 memorized, but can we live it out and pass it on to our current or former Hoos?

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Be honest. Then listen to the verbal balm and encouragement of the following two podcasts, Unleashing Peace and How To Find Peace by Scholar and author Jeremiah Johnston.

“Episode Description: Are you hungering for peace from God but have no idea how to get there? Scholar and author Jeremiah Johnston points the way to uncovering shalom in every area of life.”

“Episode Description: Wondering how to find peace—for real? Scholar and author Jeremiah Johnston shares practical ways to choose and implement the shalom you crave.”

Remember, for as long as you are a registered MomsHooPray, no matter how recently or long ago you signed up, we are here for you. You may always reach out to one of the current facilitators with a confidential prayer request and know your current or former Hoo will be lifted up.
